GenAI: Parent vs. Teacher vs. Student
Learning About AI Together: A Family Journey into the Future
Workshop Overview
Parents will actively explore how children can use AI responsibly at home and at school, and how they can set healthy boundaries around it. Through role-play, participants actively explore different perspectives on AI use, weighing its challenges and benefits while practicing how to set boundaries. They then test AI tools like ChatGPT or Gemini to compare "copy-paste" versus "guided ethical" use, reflecting on what truly supports learning. Finally, they create a "Family AI Use Agreement." The session emphasizes collaboration, negotiation, and critical thinking, leaving families with practical rules to adapt and revisit over time.
